Today we move into Aries season which marks the be Today we move into Aries season which marks the beginning of a new astrological year. This turning point is marked by the Equinox - a moment when day and night stand in equal relationship to one another. In many older traditions, this was understood as the true beginning of the year. Not imposed by calendar reform, but observed through nature itself - A recognition that life was stirring again after a period of withdrawal. As the first sign of the zodiac Aries carries the original impulse to exist, to act, to move forward into life. There is a directness in Aries, but also a particular kind of innocence - It acts before it fully understands, driven less by consideration of consequences and more by an inner necessity to begin. If you are familiar with your chart, it is worth noticing the area of life that Aries rules. This is the part of your life now coming into focus, often accompanied by a distinct surge of energy. In 1848, Fyodor Dostoevsky wrote: “The greatest happiness is to know the source of unhappiness.” Nearly two centuries later, happiness has become something to optimise - faster, brighter, more efficient. It is sold to us through books, apps, productivity systems and endless advice about how to improve our lives. Yet in an age of AI, instant gratification and constant consumption, the question may no longer be how to be happy, but whether we still know what happiness actually is. This is not a workshop about becoming happier. It is about understanding what happiness might truly mean - and how it may be reflected in an astrological chart. Using natal charts and shared discussion, we will explore whether there is such a thing as an astrological signature of happiness or whether it takes fundamentally different forms depending on the life each of us is here to live. Is happiness something available to everyone?
