Happy Mars-day

Today is Tuesday and in Astrology Tuesdays are ruled by Mars – the planet connected to action.

I often find that I’m more motivated on Tuesday and it’s easier to get things moving.

In your natal chart Mars shows your inherent leadership style – how you assert yourself in the world.

The Greeks named the planet ‘Ares’ after their god of war who was unpopular and generally depicted as a heavy handed fool who brought death and destruction to all those around him.

The Roman manifestation, Mars was much more respected and revered especially his leadership prowess.

Originally heralded as a fertility god, Mars was much more popular than the Greek depiction and seen as a wise and insightful authority both on and off the battle field.

In Astrology Mars is about raw energy, that drive within you that pushes you forward to meet the day to day challenges of life.

With Mars it’s not necessarily about figuring anything out – it’s about being in the moment and choosing to either channel that life force into something aggressive and destructive (Ares) or constructive (Mars).
