The veil today is lifted

Today the Wheel of Life has paused on one of the four markers of the Celtic year – this is a powerful pivot point and for us in the Northern Hemisphere it marks the beginning of Winter.

Traditionally this was the time when the cattle were brought in from the fields and put in their Winter quarters.

And for our ancestors this day signified the opening of a portal as it was believed that the spirits of the dead could return to Earth.

Right now we’re also in the Dark Moon phase of the moon cycle – the time just before the New Moon on Thursday.

This is the most introverted phase in the lunar cycle when the energy is pulled inward and we’re more connected to the unseen world.

November (Scorpio season) is one of the most mysterious and intense months.

It is said that during this time the veil between the two worlds is at its thinnest.

So as we venture into the darker months this is a powerful opportunity to connect and honour those loved ones that have gone before us.
