Thursday – the day of the week ruled by Jupiter

Today is Thursday and in Astrology Thursdays are ruled by Jupiter – the planet connected to expansion, growth and luck.

We all have Jupiter in our natal charts and this signifies the area of life where we have more confidence and faith in ourselves.

And right now Jupiter, the biggest planet in our solar system is in Retrograde….. which, similar to Mercury which i mentioned in my earlier posts this week, gives us a different flavour of this planet.

Retrograde simply means that from our Earth view, the planet looks like it’s going backwards – it’s also closer to Earth so it’s symbolism is felt more closely.

Whenever a planet goes Retrograde it’s always worth revising the area of life that it governs as rather than moving forward, this is a time to go back to review, rethink and reassess.

Jupiter in in Retrograde for 4 months every year so this isn’t a rare event (the dates for this year being June 20th to October 18th).

However unlike Mercury in Retrograde rather feeling this unstable energy through external events occurring in our life, we tend to experience this Retrogradation in a more personal way.

Because while it’s not an ideal time to travel to far off countries (travels during Jupiter Retrograde often occurs more costs than expected).. it is a great time to travel within.

It is said that spiritual wisdom flows more easily during these months – that we can gain greater insights about ourselves.

So if you’re feeling battered and bruised by life; this is a powerful time to reinstate that belief in yourself once again; to reclaim your inner confidence, faith and optimism by using the lens of Jupiter to look within to so that you can stand on the truth about who you are and what you bring to the world.
