It’s so easy isn’t it to get caught up in rushing. The race to get things done. But where are we actually racing to?
Why is it more important to be somewhere else than where we are right now?
I’m aware that my natural default is to move quickly. That I don’t want to waste time. But I know that every time i enter my ‘race’ mentality, I’m in my head. Experiencing life from the neck up.
And 42 years has shown me that whenever I’m living in my head that life is rarely enjoyable. Duty and responsibility are my drivers and the unseen world, that place of magic and miracles can’t get a look in.
And it’s really easy to switch gears. Reconnecting to the world starts with reconnecting to our bodies. And three deeps breaths always guides me back.
